Once in a great while I get some anonymous commenter on my blog who says something annoying. Since my posts are written for my friends (hi!) if they wanted to make a comment they could just IM, email, or call me. That said, I'm closing comments from now on. If you're my friend you already have my contact info.
My blog is back up and in the world. Finally. Fucking registrar changes...
Think Happy Thoughts.
Horoscope: Today will be full of signs and affirmations that you are on the right path -- despite what other people may say. Even if you feel unsure about the next steps, it's all part of the process. Doubting yourself is absolutely normal, and it has given you the healthy skepticism to recognize a solid thing when you see it. And don't be too rough on people who are putting pressure on you; they care about you and want your success -- they just haven't figured out how to show it yet.
Please. My shit aint looking good on IE.
I think my banner is way too big... or too small.
ed. My shit ain't look good on any browswer. Sorry.
It just occured to me that I have not received a single peice of comment spam since installing the latest version of Movable Type. I guess it was sort of worth the trouble and money of buying and installing it.
I was actually able to install Movable Type 3.2 without any help! So, it took like effing 6 hours from start to finish (download, upload, backup old files, configuring files, etc.), but I did it. Ugh. This better be freaking worth it! Not that you'll be able to tell a difference...
Added a feed of my latest Yelp reviews and changed the way my Upcoming.org listings were published. (No more Feedroll.) I used Feed2JS which is a JavaScript RSS viewer. It was a bitch to get the CSS to look the way I wanted it too look so I gave up and stopped when my design looked like I could live with it. Maybe I'll try tweeking it again later. (I forgot to add it to the rest of the individual and monthly archive pages but I'll get to it eventually.)
I found a Movable Type Plug-in called MT-RSSFeed, a "free RSS parser for Movable Type that provides a series of tags for retrieving an RSS feed and inserting it into a MovableType template." It sounds like it might make publishing RSS to my blog easier. Hrmmm...
I'm working on my site so it's gonna be looking pretty freaking ugly for a little while. K?
I added a hit counter to the blog and a custom error page to the site.
I have now added some categories to my blog. You can get to these categories by clicking on the various category names in the right-hand column under, who would have guessed it, "Categories." Now you can see all my posts about Shows on one page! Fancy that.
